Christ Church Kids

Infant–Grade 5 | Oak Brook & Butterfield

Children are a vital part of the church today. Every week during all worship, our team of faith mentors teach the Bible and lead worship, spurring our children to love Jesus wholeheartedly and carry His light into their world. Christ Church Kids is a place where kids ages infant–grade 5 receive tangible expressions of God's grace and truth through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Currently, at our Oak Brook campus, we are undergoing construction in some of our classroom spaces. Your child's nametag that you print on Sundays will have the correct room assignment.

Christ Church Kids meets every Sunday during all worship services at both campuses with the exception of a few holidays. Worship at our Oak Brook campus is 9:00 & 10:45 a.m. Worship at Butterfield is at 10:00 a.m. Please take a moment to register your child before arriving on Sunday. Registering will allow for an easy check-in.

Sunday Check-in Process & Security Pick-up Tag
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before service to have ample time to park, check in your kids, and walk them to their classrooms. You will find parking spaces near the church doors labeled for new visitors you are welcome to use. If you enter the church through doors 1 or 17, you will find our Christ Church Kids Check-in area in The Commons. A greeter will be able to point you in the right direction, and a member of our Christ Church Kids team will then guide you through the check-in process.

Release On Own | Grades 4 and 5 | Oak Brook
If you have a child in grade 4 or 5 who wishes to be released from class on his or her own without a parent or guardian showing a security pick-up tag to the teacher, please click on the REGISTER link above and choose the RELEASE ON OWN class. If you have any issues, please email Jennie Amidei.

Gather Sunday | Grades 1–5 | Oak Brook
Most Christ Church Kids say this is the most fun Sunday of the month! Gather is a large group setting with fun games, crafts and worship. See Christ Church Kids Gather Sunday below for details.

Early Check-in Available on the Christ Church Connect App
For faster check-in, you can download the Christ Church Connect App. On Sundays before arriving, you can open the app and click on your profile picture to find “Pre Check-in”. Choose your child's class and then a QR code will appear that you will scan at a kiosk. After scanning the QR code, your child's nametag and security pick-up tag will print for you.

What is Family Worship?
There are several Sundays throughout the year that we encourage our families to worship together with their children. There may be times during Family Worship when child care is available for children 4 years old and younger, however there will not be programming.

That is where we get a chance to connect personally with students, children and families and casually catch up on life! Tuesday–Friday our team will be available for 15-minute low-key check-ins focused on simply catching up! So sign up below and come chat with our team about your prayers and your praises during this unusual season!

Ensuring all people with disabilities are welcome, known and loved.

Christ Church believes all people bear the image of God and are a vital part of the body of Christ. We want all people with disabilities to belong, be included and engage in the life and community of Christ Church, as we follow Jesus in a complex world.

Danielle Schaeffer is our Disability Ministry Director who works closely with the children, student and adult ministry teams. She will partner with your family as you engage at Christ Church. No matter what disability you have or what accommodation or adaptation is needed for your family, YOU are exactly the family we are looking for! Friendship Bible Class | Adults | Sunday Mornings
Friendship Bible Class is a ministry for adults with disabilities and is now in its 32nd year at Christ Church! Beginning on Sunday, September 8, and alternating weeks through April, the group will meet from 10:45–11:45 a.m. in room 264. Using the Gospel Project curriculum from Lifeway Christian Resources, participants will be presented with a chronological study of the Bible to learn about God's story of redemption. Each session will include a meaningful time of worship, a presentation of a Bible story video, lesson-related discussion and practical application, and prayer. Group members are given the opportunity to deepen their faith in the Lord and support each other through fellowship and prayer.
